Today, at Torre BAT and with the support of the Bizkaiko Foru Aldundia / Diputación Foral de Bizkaia, we witnessed a major milestone: the launch of the Bizkaia Quantum Industrial HUB, a project in which the EHU Quantum Center (Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea) is proud to be a part. Additionally, the tools developed around BIQAIN were introduced, designed to drive industrial research projects in quantum technologies. A strategy with immense potential for the technological and business ecosystem. I also had the honor of participating in a roundtable on Communications and Cybersecurity, where we explored the real and current impact of these technologies on businesses. Moderated by Valentin Garcia, and alongside Patricia Díez Muñoz from Telefonica and Daniel Urrutia Real from OESIA, we discussed: • The importance of advancing towards Quantum-Resistant solutions, showcasing real use cases. • The need for quantum infrastructures based on public-private collaborations. • The challenge of convergence between classical and quantum technologies. The future of secure solutions based on quantum technologies is approaching fast, and it is crucial to start preparing today.
