Gauge-Invariant Microscopic Kinetic Equation Theory of Superconductivity

TITLE: ” Gauge-Invariant Microscopic Kinetic Equation Theory of Superconductivity “

SPEAKER: Prof. Ming-Wei Wu, University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China

ABSTRACT: Gauge invariance of response of superconductors to external fields is one of the key elements in theories of superconductivity. In this talk I will discuss a new approach to gauge-invariant equations describing kinetic effects in superconductors. I will show how this theory works with the three-fluid model of conventional low-temperature s-wave superconductivity and of d-wave superconductivity typical for high-temperature superconductors.
